Hi, (my english is bad,excuse me)...my question is this: if I try to send a SMS (on Netbeans, with device emulator) with a specific port number to the MIDLet, it work very good, receive the sms and work. But if I try in a real phone and receive the sms from another SIM Card (example a GPS Tracker) then without a port the MIDlet, it don't work.

Any answer? :)

Java ME only can send SMS from real inbox, you cant read inbox almost a port be specified.

I dont understand this, i don't speak english very well too, i am mexican (i speak spanish)

But if you try to send SMS from other phone you need configure the port sending in that mobile and the midlet will be run on the recpetor phone.

if you are sending sms on particular port number then you should install application to recieve that message on same port number.

because if you are sending message on your definded port number then it wont go into Inbox.

Hi, thanks for your answer.
I try with an example.

I have a phone with the MIDlet installed and a GPS tracker with only a SIM Card and GPS Antenna, then 2 device.
If I send a SMS from SIM Card inside the GPS Tracker to the phone with the MIDLet initialized to receive a SMS, the MIDLet don't intercept it because I send the SMS without port number and it (the sms) wont go into inbox.

I believe that every sms is without a specific port number if it sent form a phone or another device with GSM Module.

I hope I was clear.

if you send sms by using port number 0 then it will go into device's inbox..

but I can't send a sms specifyind the port number because the tracker can't set the port.
