Hi,

Why do you have to build a client for streaming? The Nokia E60 can already do video streaming. Is it for interest, education or commercial purposes? Do you need to add support for new codecs or will the existing ones do?

What you need to focus on really dependson your goals. You should be able write a "streaming client" by simply passing a URL to the CVideoPlayerUtility class (it has an OpenUrlL method). It's not quite that simple but fairly easy. Read the SDK documentation and the posts on these forums.

On the other hand, if it is for educational purposes you might want to do a bit more?

Hi,

OK then, unless it is a secret, what value are you planning to add over what the phone can already do? If it is just UI branding for someone then experiment with CVideoPlayerUtility and see if it will do everything you need. You shouldn't need to pay much attention to the streaming server and codec support if you are happy with what the device already supports.
