hi to all,
can somebody help me, i have a problem with my emulator of 3rd edition nd this is exactly what i want to do:
my purpose is to develop a communication's tool using the bluetooth of a mobile NOKIA 3rd edition to establish a vocal discussion between two mobiles in a short distance(between 5 and 300 mtrs): this discussion will be for free. The S.E of the NOKIA mobile is based on Symbian.
To implement we'll use the Code Warrior.
In addition i want to realize after all that, a transfer of videos conferences with the same caracteristiks.
N.B: all this job must be done on a 3rd edition interface

now, my problem is that my emulator can't see my bluetooth dongle and after a billion times of tries i have the same problem...

so i'm asking you if i can use the 2nd edition to realize my project???????????????????? coz it works with it

THANK U VERY MUCH 4 THE ANSWERS

Hi,

I think you can use both SDKs - it doesn't matter. As I remember trying to make make bluetooth working on emulator demand Nokia Connectivity Framework and probably special BT dongle - not each can be used. I think that the configuration and installation was 'quite problematic', but if you will do everything according to manual it should work...
When I used BT I never test it on emulator - only on device so I have no experiences with it.

Regards,

One comment related to your post is also AFAIK all BT enabled mobiles (from Nokia at least) have a maximum range of 10 meters..
