Nokia 7390 Bluetooth problems... -

I bought a Nokia 7390 a month ago, the problem with my phone is that when i search for blue tooth connections, i wouldn't be able to connect to my friends' phones, such as panasonic x88 and samsung... (the search result end up with nothing) however they would be able to find and connect to me using bluetooth...
Just wondering if there is a problem with my phone?? or does this happen to all nokia 7390s?? p.s. it can easily find sound devices like BHC 700 bluetooth earpiece... but just not phones... Thanks in advance for any comments....
