What Kind of HandShaking for Bluetooth ?? -

Hi all,
I am developing an application that uses bluetooth connection. Now altough I am getting the notification to connect to the device and after I accept the connection nothing happens. The requesting device still waits for the device and nothing is received in the device in which my application is waiting. I now have following doubts :: 1-> Is there any HandShaking required for the initial connection for the bluetooth device ? 2-> If yes, then how can we do that ? Thnx for ur concern.
