Problem with contact thumbnails (N73) -

I'm having a problem with the contact images, in the sense that I always get a white 'null area' to the right and bottom of the image, as if the image is too small and it's just showing a white edge behind the picture.
I've tried several times to resize the JPEG but the phone's software always seems to resize it! I've got a Nokia N73... Is there something I'm doing wrong? Does anyone know the size the thumbnails should be?

I have the same problem, would love to know how to fix this if somehow possible, looks so horrible...
