Hi:
Anyone knows if it is possible to syncronize the date time of the phone to a server like time.windows.com? In that case which models of Nokia can do that? When you set the time in the phone you can enter the fields hour and minute, but not second. (The second is zero when you set it?) I'm developing an app that sends and SMS with the phone datetime each time the user push a phone button. When the Server receives the SMS, I need the server has exactly the same time of the phone. regards, marcelo |

The phones have built-in support for (cellular) network based setting of the time. You can access that setting from within the Clock app, or the Settings app. The network has to support the service. All might not, but nowadays I suppose many do.
I don't recall if there's a published API to set the phone's time from your app or not. If there is, you could implement NTP support yourself (or depending on your situation, find an OSS implementation to use as a starting point). |
