hi, i have 6310i, nokia rs232 cable (dlr-3p, or so) and nokia pc suite 4.81 with application installer. but this pc suite doesn't know mz n6310i, it thinks, it's a 6310. and i think, that's the reason, why the application installer doesn't work. can anyone help me with this problem?

Hello,

It's hard to say why your combination doesn't work as it works well for most users. You can try to upgrade PC Suite to the new version 5 and see what happens there. The suite is available from product support pages of Nokia 7210.

What do you get when you press *#0000# on your phone?

You should get something like:
V 5.10 (or 4.13 or some other version)
date of software
NPL-1 (= Nokia 6310i product id, Nokia 6310 reports NPE-4)
(c) NMP
