I am facing some problems in deploying the soap libraries for python into my series 60 phone.
can anybody please tell me how i can proceed.
I have ZSI 2.0(Zolera SOAP Infrastructure) with me,please tell me how to deploy it to my phone.

Hi bharatan.vk,

Please give us a link to that zip file and I'll tell you if it is possible to deploy it as it.

Some bad scenario would be that your library uses Python function introduced after Python 2.2.2. So you would have to update the source code to make it compatible with Python 2.2.2.

An other not fun scenario would be that the library uses some DLL written in C or C++. Then there would also be a need to recompile everything for Symbian...

So I had a quick look and it seems to be 100% Python implemented.

Now this API in ~730Kb So if it works the loading time could be extremely long...

The thing you could do at first is to try to make it run on emulator. For that, copy ZSI folder from the source in the phone library folder:

• 2nd edition: C:\Symbian\8.0a\S60_2nd_FP2\epoc32\release\wins\udeb\z\system\Libs
• 3rd edition: C:\Symbian\9.1\S60_3rd_MR\Epoc32\winscw\c\resource

And then try to use some test scripts. If it works that way we could then consider to make installation package for the phone and evaluate the performances.

hi, lfd and bharatan.vk, I have tested this ZSI library, it can work on my emulator but I copied some modules from my PC python library, so now, how can I deploy these files(including modules I copied from pc python standard library) in my mobile phone ? Thanks.
