Nokia 6310 with Socket Bluetooth CF (need the passkey) -

Hi,
I'm trying to connect my HP Jornada 720 that has a CF bluetooth card installed and when trying to bond a message appears in my 6310 screen asking for a passkey. Any idea where to find that passkey. A soon reply will be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Jorge (Madrid).

You can use any arbitrary password (the same in both ends). In devices with no UI there is a hard-coded passcode from the manufacturer that you enter on the other device.

Hi, It's better in some cases to use only a 1 digit passcode as it times-out very quickly, this is a one-off setup passcode, same for both devices

There is no pre-assigned passkey. You have to decide on a [temporary] password and enter the same code on each device you are trying to connect. You can change the code on any subsequent connections.
