AIM: attempt to establish connection between a bluetooth enabled mobile phone and a computer via bluetooth.

REASON: not just for data transfer but to have a real time communication between the two (involving questions and answers)
for eg: BEP=bluetooth enabled phone and CM=computer

CM->whats the number of ur mobile phone?
BEP->9877897689

CM->your name please??
BEP->frank

the questions are preset into the computer connected to BEP and every BEP needs to respond this way back to the computer(CM)

HELP: what are the prerequisites for such type of communication to be set between a bluetooth enabled mobile phone and a computer.
is it feasible or existing at present...if not wat should be done at the computer side to achieve this communication???
which programming language would be best suited for its programming and development at both ends??

plz reply asap if ne idea......

if anyone can atleast give me an idea of its implementation or atleast tell whether its feasible using bluetooth protocols...

have a look into teh bluetooth examples prvided with SDKs (at least they can be found from 2nd edition SDKs), basically you need to make some-kind-of advertizer in the phone (i.e. the server part that listens incoming stuff) and make it automatically answer those quaries (i.e. make an background always-on server that has the advertizer).

Dunno really what to do in PC side, since it doesn't have symbian os on it..

hi all

can anyone please let me know of any API or third party tool(preferably in java or C/C++) that can be used for accomplishing atleast 3 tasks(given below) in bluetooth mobile phone n computer communication. the tasks im looking for

1. stack initialisation
2. device discovery and management
3. simple text message sending to the mobile phone via bluetooth

if anyone can please help me out in this asap.....

have a look into BT examples (available at least with 2nd edition SDK's), they should get you started with C++ pretty well.
