Hello, I just picked up a Nokia 6086 to use the UMA with T-Mobile's @Home service. I looked and noted that both the web page and the manual (page 68) claim that this unit supports A2DP audio. I already carry a set of Plantronics 590 stereo headphones so I paired them up. They work great as a mono headset, but I can find nothing in the interface or the manual on how to use them as a stereo headset. I called customer service (who were no help, claiming that I should call Plantronics) and got no where. (They asked if I had ever used the headset with any other phone, to which I said my Treo worked fine, to which they asked if a Treo was a phone. Oy!)

I'm very interested in seeing this functionality work, with the SD there it would be a nice perk to be able to use the phone for tunes. Right now if I pair the headset, I get audio, but if I go to the Media Player and select a song, I get silence. Unpaired the song plays fine. There seems to be nothing in the Bluetooth pairing process that would let me select which services to pick off a device. This could be part of it, but it would be nice if there was some mention of how to set up a set of headphones in the manual.

Anyone tried this? Any luck?

Welcome to the Bluetooth DEVELOPER discussion.

Generally we have no facilities to answer usage problems for mobile phones mainly program to support bluetooth.

You can see all articles on forum by typing a2DP in the seach box for this forum

There are many challenges with A2DP, there are programs which only work with some suppliers. Some phones have had firmware updates which have later been removed.

This forum is about designing and supporting new programs.

The best place to find such answers is the user discussion which is monitered by Nokia support teams.
