I'm in interested in simulating the examples provided in Nokia CD for Symbian OS. I have the following qustions;
1. From where I can order a DTL-4 card and how much does it cost. 2. Does the DTL-4 connect only with laptops or desktops as well or any adaptor is required for this purpose. 3. What are the other options available from Nokia apart from DTL-4. 4. Is it necessary to have a 6310 set for simulation, just the emulator is not sufficient? Any other suggestion and details are extremely valuable because I'm just a beginer. 3. |

1. & 3. If you can't get DTL-4 from your Nokia dealer anymore, you can also use Socket Bluetooth Card (www.socketcom.com for further details).
2. The preferred environment is laptop. In desktops the functionality may be a problem, as all the PC card adapters may not work properly. 4. You need to have another Bluetooth device, to accomplish testing. That can be another PC with the emulator&card or a 'real' Bluetooth device. In case of two emulators there are some restrictions in transferring data. Please download a document 'Setting up and Using Bluetooth Testing Environment for Series 60 v1.1' that describes system requirements and guides you how to install and configure the Bluetooth development environment. The document can be found in the Bluetooth Documents section: http://www.forum.nokia.com/main/1,,1_43_40,00.html -Seppo Forum Nokia |
