Hi,

I'm designing an audio device and I want to make it "aware" of Nokia phones with Bluetooth connectivity.

Device runs embedded Linux on it and bluetooth chipset connected to the CPU (ARM9)

Where should I start to learn more about headset<>phone communication protocol etc?
Is there any documentation and source code which covers headset issue like the obex example that I found on this forum?

A PC application with source code which allows to make phone calls over PC via bluetooth and mobile phone would be very helpful.

Best Regards
Gokhan

You don't make it clear, which way are you expecting the audio to be routed? Is your hardware a headset type device with a speaker and microphone that sources audio and you want to use that audio with the telephony features of the phone, or is it the other way around?

I've seen some work by developers on similar ideas, don't know if any of them are active or meet your plans but I find work on the issue interesting.

Hi,

Headset and Handfree you could take a look in BT spec that can be downloaded from http://www.bluetooth.com/Bluetooth/T...pecifications/

http://www.bluetooth.com/Bluetooth/T.../Works/HFP.htm
http://www.bluetooth.com/Bluetooth/T.../Works/HSP.htm

Basically you need to connect HeadSet with phone over RFCOMM and then send AT command.
