I have installed Nokia Map on my N73. Also down loaded map of India. I am using Altina Blue tooth GPS receiver GBT-709. I have following problems.

1) While travelling I find that the GPS curser position is moving along the Road but it is off by say about 300 meters. What is the reason ? I tried to save long/lat of a point and compared with the other device of Garmin the long/ lat are correct. How to resolve this issue. Hence no navigation possible since not being on road !

2) I would like to add my own city Map, since Nokia does not provide Indian city (Pune) map. How do I do this. In which format Nokia Map stores the map and where ? I would like to create and upload my own city map. How do I do this.

Can somebody let me know how to do this

Hi,

Again, I am afraid that you have came to the wrong place this discussion board is only for Developers support, not for Nokia products or end user application support.
There is a Nokia product support forum that is monitored and where you can get attention and solutions it is at http://discussions.europe.nokia.com/. If you post your question there you may get a better response.

Hi Welcome to Forum Nokia. Although this is a developer area rather than a user area. I want to correct some assumptions, all country are loadable from the Maps application.
You select you continent then your country from the Nokia Maps application

1)
You have probably configured your mapping to car not foot. Have you checked the satellite status and current accuracy. You get a similar problem if you do not keep you N95 open whilst using in-built GPS, accuracy is limited to 66 metres in car and kaypad closed.
2)
The Nokia Maps product does have Pune, India my Nokia Maps tell me that this 4,754.4 miles from where I am sitting (UK).
Assume you put Pune in City or Post code and select India from the country.

See my answer in another post, about GPS problems and download new version of Maps program.
