Hi,
I want to be able to display event notifications from my J2ME application on the mobile phone "home UI page" aka desktop. What UI package/classes would I need achieve this? Is it functionality that comes as part of the standard UI support in J2ME or will I have to use the Nokia UI API? If someone could shed some light on this that would be great. Thanks Mike |

Thanks for reply, so would this be possible using another development platform other than java. I really could do with that functionality.

I was just wondering whether it is possible to use the calendar as a medium for displaying events on the home screen? Is there a calendar API available in Java. Im aware there is in Python.

There is an API in Java ME to access the calendar and add events in there (JSR-75, PIM API), however whether or not the added event is displayed on the idle screen depends if the user have the active standby scree turned on or off...
