Hello, I want to determine the location of a user using LBS.
I get the GPS coordinates just fine but now I need to convert that info into something usefull. JSR 179 has an function to get address information but for me it always returns null.

How do I get the city and country information from the GPS without resorting to making connections to the internet? Are there any datafiles with GPS locations that I could use?

Hi,

I think that there are no (at least free ) files for that purpose, if you cannot use some navigation software data files for your own purposes.
