Hello prakash raman sir thanks for the reply...hmmm sir please dun mind if i am asking too much...jz need guidance from you..well u suggested that i can develop the chat server in J2SE....that's wat im planning to do..so in this chat the applicant can private chat,send files an etc..so is it possible to develop like this sir. So what im confused is this...can the applicant see the same interface on their phone like in the chat server that can be visible on server...please reply sir... In your reply im undastood that a student have to login and then only they can download the jad and jar file..thanks for the idea..

Well buddy interface? if u mean look and feel then it depends purely on u, u can make same user interface both side. and as far as private chat is concerned and sending files all can be done.

Dear prakash raman thanks for the reply. sir i managed to find one source code on chat client in J2ME. I got both jad and jar files....may i know how to open those files in netbeans....well it also using GPRS as the connectivity.... Sir i have spent most of time googlin for chat server source code for my reference and it is very hard to find them. Do you know where to find them?..thank you sir.
