I've just upgraded to the newest Nokia Map application on my N95. The version number is: v1.2 wk35 b01 OpenGL LM MN

The downloaded application is in English, however if I am selecting: Options -> Find place -> Nearby ->

then the categories appear in German All other menu items are in English though.

I have the newest firmware installed: v 12.0.013 19-06-07 RM-159 Nokia N95 (92.01)

Does anyone else experiencing the same issue?

I have the same problem. With E90 and Finnish language. Everything else seems ok but the nearby location search is in German! "v.1.2 w35 b01 OpenGL LM MN"

I know the answer. Originally the software was made by Gate5 a German company, which was bought by Nokia. When making 1.2 version of the Nokia Map they have used an earlier source code, where the modules were in German. Before putting together the installer they translated all modules, but the "Nearby" menu items.
It will be corrected with the next update.

A workaround: when you set the Network Preference to 'Never connect', the nearby locations appear in your own language (in my case, Dutch). I can't really figure out the realtionship between the two, but it works...
