6131: T9 (predictive text input) not working with textbox? -

Hi,
a person using my application on 6131 (no idea if its nfc-model or not) claims that T9 predictive text input doesnt work on textbox, however it seems to work on textfields. Can anyone confirm this? This is first Ive heard of it but since I dont have access to 6131 I cant test it myself. On other phones Ive tested it seems to work fine. Apparently same person cannot enter danish-characters on textbox either but on textfields he can.
