My 6310i won't stay connected to my Jabra BT200 headset for more than a few minutes before disconnecting. Also, as is now common knowledge most headsets cannot voice activate the 6310 unless they also support the HANDSFREE profile.
1) Are there any technical reasons why Nokia only allows voice dialing via the handsfree profile and not the headset profile like everyone else? ( or is this just to force us to buy the nokia headset? 2) Any chance of nokia upgrading the implementation of their headset profile to allow voice dialing from a bluetooth headset supporting headset profile? 3) Does anyone even know if the nokia headset is going to be available soon? 4) what is the latest firmware version for the 6310i and does it work any better with bluetooth headsets than firmaware version V4.80 that I now have? I think at my next upgrade I'll have to look more closely at the other manufacturers phones. |

I too have had problems with the Jabra BT200 headset. The phone and headset disconnect after about 3 minutes.
The software I have on my phone is version 4.08, but I have been told that the latest software is version 5.01. However, Nokia have notified a problem with 5.01 and now there is now a fixed version of 4.08. So the latest version is still known as 4.08 but it is supposedly fixed. Confused? - 'cos I am. Anyway my phone has been sent back to have this latest fixed version uploaded. I have been told that this should solve the problem with the headset disconnecting, but there is no guarantee. Seemingly the 6310i was supposed to be a replacement for the 6310, as it had so many problems. Looks like they haven't got things totally right with the 6310i. |

Same problem here.....just got the 6310i and Jabra Bluetooth Headset...disconnects every time after a minute or so. My phone has firmware version 4.81......doesn't seem to help with this major glitch. Don't know if I should take the phone or the headset back to retailer? Or maybe both? Any other Bluetooth phones that work properly with Jabra headset?
