I have bought 6310i, an 3COM USB Bluetooth Adapter and a Sony Vaio notebook (no ir port) with embedded Windows XP Home. I am trying to connect phone to the computer for the last two weeks like other hundreds of people. Nokia has hidden the Nokia DT4 bluetooth card necessity for 6310i phone connectivity in web site to a least accessible position. Microsoft has written again `incompatibility of XP for bluetooth` in small letters, 3COM does not tell anything. I am using the last generation phone, computer, operating system and bluetooth card, but unfortunately those companies does not obey the standards. As a result I can not use PC Suite, bluetooth, 6310i, internet connection. I believe all three companies should solve the solutions and announce the incompatibilties in the same page of specifications. Delivering the equipment or software before testing even main capabilities is becoming the millenium`s habbit. Should I wait several years to solve those software based problems or throw some expensive equipments and buy another? At least it is not fair for the leading companies Nokia, Microsoft and 3COM.
