Can't play 3gp video -

hello,
I am working on a project that requires the use of video playback on an N80 device. I can't get my midlet to play a 3gp file. It gives this error java.lang.NullPointerException at com.sun.mmedia.protocol.CommonDS.getConnection(CommonDS.java:78) at com.sun.mmedia.protocol.CommonDS.connect(+12) at javax.microedition.media.Manager.createDataSource(Manager.java:915) at javax.microedition.media.Manager.createPlayer(Manager.java:680) I tried an mpg file and it worked fine (in the emulator), but it throws an exception on the device (I assumed coz its too large). All data comes from a URL. Please help. Thanks

hi,
I changed from the Sun wireless toolkit 2.5 and 2.5.1 and used the 3rd edition MIDP SDK. It now works well (uses 3gp). Thanks. softDev

it's too late in this thread for this question.. But how did u play 3gp file in java? JMF?
