Hi everyone.

does anyone knows if it is possible to play simultaneously 2 (or more) audio files on the E50 and the 5500 (S60 3rd Edit) ?
If so, are there specificities to be aware of ?

file format is not a big issue, yet midi would not be so good.

Mixing support was introduced in S60 3rd Edition. In older S60 Editions only one player was able to play at a time. With the MMAPI this is expressed by a notification that mixing is not supported. The
support can be checked from the system property supports.mixing, which returns a boolean value true if the mixing is supported. When mixing is not supported and two players are started sequentially, the last call for the start method will cause the first player to stop and the second to start (not in the Series 40 platform).

im using S60 3rd edition,FP1....is mixing possile wid dis one???.....i tried to play two wav files simultaneously wid two players...but after playing the first one it hangs...plz help me ...
im using dis SDK wid Netbeans 5.5.1 n netBeans mobility 5.5.1

N95 supports mixing. Could be some problem with your code or the the files you are trying to play are too big and the phone runs out of memory

Just to add what Hartti Suggested : I am not clear whether you are trying in an SDK or on the real device. Are you getting any Exception ? If you are getting the same behaviour in SDK, try to find out at which line of code it causes the problem.
