I'm reposting this from another thread so apologies if you read this already.
![]() Hello, Has anybody successfully delivered a wbxml encoded landmark to an N95? (or any compatible phone). Following the example in "S60_Platform_Landmarks_Exchange_Specification_v1_0_en" from Nokia I encoded a wbxml landmark. I checked the encoding by doing a bluetooth obex push. The format was not recognised. I figured maybe the phone just wasn't expecting a wbxml landmark over bluetooth. I then took my wbxml tokens prepended a WSP header & a WDP header. Also added an SMS PDU and sent the whole lot to the N95 using AT commands. The message sends fine but on receiving I get "Unable to open. Message format not supported" Can anybody confirm that the N95 does in fact support wbxml landmarks? Even if I copy the file to the phone and try to open it with a file manager it still does not open correctly - just shows the data in a web browser. Incidental I successfully delivered a bookmark as wbxml. Any thoughts? Ian |

Hi,
Have you tried with the wbxml file from the documentation (the original example without your changes)? Please, check if it works in your environment. BR, |

Just send a Landmark from the phone to your computer and I knew the answer. WBXML does not work for me either, however, XML with lm as namespace worked. Have a look at these creation tools… (one and two)

I have tried the wbxml file from the documentation, wrote the file and copied it to the phone - not recognised!

traud:
I know lots of ways of passing a landmark to the N95. There is no problem with lmx files. I specifically wanted to use the wbxml format. |

Ahh okay. Did not get that. Anyway, I tried a lot of tricks, too: None worked. I guess it is not supported as this PDF specification is much older than the current phones. If you need a definite answer, you could buy technical support…

It's a pity really - seemed quite a useful thing to me but ...
I got the following answer from Nokia: Hello Ian, I am sorry that I was not able to respond earlier. My colleague gave me today the following answer: "N95 is not able to decode wbxml landmark files, it can only decode xml format landmark files."
