Hi All,
I am a newbie and have multiple questions. s60 is based on symbian and we can design applications for it based on java (j2me) and c++. Is there anyway I can find a list of advantages (e.g. APIs) I can use in c++ programming versus java programming for s60? One general question. Are symbian and j2me development platforms and if so what is the meaning of programming j2me on symbian? Thanks. -Sara |

Hi Sara,
It is totally depend upon your application whether use C++ or Java. As we know S60 devices has KVM(Mobile verson of JVM) and can run J2me app but it has some limitation like size of .jar file is device specific. We can run same java application on both s40 and s60 devices though both hvae different OS. Java hhave bundle of APIs to develop application rapidly even making game application is bit eesier in java ( my point of view). By -Anjan |
