I wrote a code for locating with using of NMEA sentences.(It means, I didn't use the Location API (JSR179)). It works perfect. But now I have a problem. I'd like to make some landmarks, something like cityguide.the problem is, the gps -reciever sends rather accurate coordinates.(with millisec.) so I should record 3-4 values for one landmark. otherwise it's possible, that my programm doesn't found this landmark.
Do anybody know, how I can manage this problem in another way?

Unless programming a Cruise Missile, whereby the Missile need to zero into the Landmark (Beyond the scope of this forum)

Multiple Data points helps to define the boundary of the landmark.

But if the Landmark is of a fair size, say a Office Block, wouldn't a radius method helps. When close to the landmark, software can hint that the item is near, andthe human eye would have pick up the item(Office Building).

For very small landmarks, or those clustered in midst of multiple point of interest, reduce the size of the radius.
