Hi ,
I am having a bit of a problem with my emulator(user error , I 'm sure.)
Here is whats happening.
I used the steps found on http://wiki.opensource.nokia.com/pro...r_installation to install pyforS60 on my system.
Everything seems to be fine.
Emulator comes up fine. But when I try to run the ball.py demo as detailed in the documentation (link above) I cant seem to find it on the emulator. (or any of the scripts in that folder.)
under INSTALLATIONS >> I have App.mgr. // degugAgent // Mail Exch. // eshell // LWplayer // and vcexecutora...
No balls.py
I look in my C:\Symbian\9.3\PythonForS60_SDK_3rdEd\epoc32\winscw\c\python folder and there is a balls.py there etc but I cant find it on the emulator.
Am I looking in the wrong place?
Do I have a faulty installation?

I want to test some scripts on the emulator, but dont really know how.

Sorry its a real basic question but any help is appreciated.

I am using S60 3rd ed FP2 Beta.

Emulator/phone menu layouts are a bit different depending on the version. Try to find Python shell icon (double snake). Try reinstall PyS60 emuator SDK, maybe all files were not copied.

Thanks a lot Miohtama,
You hit the nail on the head... I did a reinstall and noticed that some of the files were not copied to the epoc32 folder in my previous install. I should pay more attention when I'm doing these things . Everything is working fine now.

Now for the long journey of actually learning to do some programming.
