Hi, I have created an application to automatically save my position every 10 seconds into a .gpx file. It works and can run concurrently with a different application, for example Nokia Maps and some other smaller apps.

However, it doesn't work at all with TomTom navigating software. If TomTom is running, my app cannot get access to the GPS and vice versa - TomTom is unable to connect if I run my app first.

Would anybody know why is this and how to fix it? I am using RPositionServer + RPositioner to get the position. Would direct connection via Bluetooth and parsing the NMEA sentences help?

Welcome to the discussion board, I have to say that I do not know the excat reason, but from earlier posts in this forum I could assume that Tomtom is not using the LSB API, but by-passing them, which could indeed lead in to a situation that some system component (port etc.) is reserved by it and others can not use it then, and if the system GPS is started first, same happend other way around.
