Hello,
I would suspect that Nokia C910 bridge card is causing the problem. Nokia supports C910 only for Windows 95, 98, Me, NT4.0 and 2000 operating systems. Please, contact your PC manufacturer and ask what kind of bridge solution they recommend for your system with Linux. Best Regards, Nokia D211 Support |

I am having problems finding my local WLAN configured on a Nokia MW1122 with built in WLAN support. It all works fine on the same box running Win98 talking to the MW1122.
My config is: a Nokia C910 PCI-PCMCIA bridge card a fresh 2.4.20 kernel with external PCMCIA support package v3.2.3 the v2.05 of the Nokia C110 kernel module all built on a RH7.3 box using gcc2.x A Nokia MW-1122 with another C110 card I use the external PCMCIA package as the 2.4 kernel does not support PCI bridge cards. Using the default scripts (apart from setting the country to New Zealand and switching to infra mode) I have not been able to ever get it to discover the WLAN network. This is the output from /proc/net/nokia_c110 after the module is loaded (mac address removed): NetDev =eth1 Mac =00:00:00:00:00:00 ChrDev =nokia_c110 ChMajor=253 ChMinor=0 BSSID =00:00:00:00:00:00 SSID =Not Joined Channel=0 RadioSS=8192 TxThrsh=0 Mode =AdHoc Known BSSs: -ID---BAD--CAP--MAC-----------------CH---MX----RSSI----SSID------------------------------- I have tried a number different things and am running out of ideas. Any help/pointers would be much appreciated. Thanks Mark |
