Hi all, sorry if it´s a basic question, but I´m not sure about the answer.
It´s possible to do the authentication of a btspp connection without involving the user? That is, passing the PIN/password through the j2me application or connection url? The "pairing process" has always to have the user intervention to establish an authenticated connection? |

Yes, there is no pairing. And it's my own service on both sides. But for every new connection not requesting authentication, the user must authorize explicitly on the cell phone (Nokia 5200). In order to not have the user authorize every connection, the only way is to have the user enter the password for the pairing? What I want is to have the less possible user interaction. I have a client-server app that must have only one authorized client. My phone is the server, and know the bluetooth address of the authorized client through pre-configuration. So I thought that one solution is to have the pairing done, and then the phone application filter the bluetooth address of the client. Apparently, at least one user interaction is necessary. Am I correct? Or there are other solutions? Thanks again. Evandro |
