for 2nd edition S60 mobiles,is there any boot up API or any option so that my python application will automatically start with switching on mobile.

Hi sagars,

I don't think this option is available to 2nd Edition devices as yet .
However such a feature is possible on 3rd Edition devices, It could be employed using the autostart feature of Ensymble.

CAN anyone provide details of how to use START ON BOOT API
for NOKIA 6600 s60 2nd edition mobile.
If possible sample code...
on symbian site "page not found " message coming...
can u send me another useful link

HI,

I am using ezboot for booting my application at startup.
( for NOKIA 6600 s60 2nd edition mobile.)
but it only fetches the first page of my appication.

i think , i am giving the path of my "hello.app" application.

which is a .app file. .app is the DLL for symbian OS, isn't it?
(If i m wrong please correct me)

EZBOOT (may only)works for exe files....
so shall i create .exe file for my application?
if yes how?

I saw the other thread where many people have the same problem.

Unfortunately I do not have a 2nd Ed device handy

As for the EXE files they are in c:\sys\bin.

It is for S60 3rd edition and onwards. For s60 2nd edition, it is not mandatory to be resided on Sys/bin.
