Hi Rishabh,
I think you want beep sound even if profile is set to "Silent" mode. If thats the case, Well i haven't tried what i am going to tell you but still you can try it (University exams going on thats why didn't try it)Try to trigger an alarm because even on silent mode alarm generates sound. For alarm and all try this link Miso Alarm (PyS60 library) http://www.hiit.fi/~hasu/misoalarm/ If this works do tell me else i will try afterwards. ![]() IDEAS is all they need but still they think only Genius can give them that. |

I am trying to implement the same thing. The miso alarm is one that I do not want to use. Are there alternatives? |

One thing that you could do is, Check the profile of the device using the xprofile of Cyke64, when you want to play the sound. If the profile is silent, switch it to general, play the sound, and once that is over switch it back to the original profile. However, if you are using a 2nd Edition FP2 device, you wont need to worry about all this as the sounds can be played during silent profile too using PyS60, as I just tested on my device ![]() Hope that helps, Best Regards, Croozeus |

Hi Rishabh,
I don't know think changing the alarm tone will help you, because the volume of alarm tone in silent mode must be fixed. and sorry i don't know how to increase volume of alarm in this condition. ![]() I suggest you it will be better to use Croozeus solution to this problem that is much more easy to implement. Ya but that too has limitations in the sense that it cant be used with Edition 2 phones. which is not the case with this solution. Are u aware of any modules that handle sound management.

Ya this thing works in the silent mode but the volume is very low.Can anybody suggest something about how to change the volume levels without changing the profile because I cant get the xprofile to work on my cell as it is a second edition.

This is a thing that many people want. Perhaps someone might want to work on an extension that allows this. Refer to similar discussions below http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...ghlight=Volume http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...ghlight=Volume Best Regards, Croozeus |
