Hi. Is it possible to edit the content of the sms located in the inbox?. How?

I don't know the trivial solution but while searching for it, i saw a link which leads to Pyco Editor

See it once maybe this will help you. In a screen shot given on same page the guy is even editing a PyS60 small program!

Its brief intro was

IMHO, With the default inbuilt Inbox module you can not edit the SMS in your Inbox. You can only read the SMS and use its content, but can not edit the SMS in the Inbox. I am not sure if there are any 3rd party extensions that allow you to do this.

I am not sure too because i haven't tried Pyco editor myself.

Its Possible to edit inbox messages.. install LCG jukebox application...
browse E:\system\mail (If Ur msg is saved in memory card)or C:\system\mail (If Ur msg is saved in Phone Memory). There You find lot of folders like 1 2 3...to abc...f select the file(SMS) from the concern folder and press [3] this will open your sms in hex editor [all your text will be displayed in ASCII values] go to [menu] then select [Edit] again go to [Menu]select[Edit Chars]... then You can edit you msg (* dont alter other characters except your msg) the press [Back] this will ask for [save] press [ok] now you are done.

This works on my NOKIA 7610.

I guess he meant to do it with PyS60 and not with Xplore.

One more thing the mentioned method will only work for 2nd edition devices. For 3rd edition device its not possible as the system folder is a private or caged one.
