Hi everyone; I need some help because I'm kinda confused with this situation.

I've created a midlet (cldc 1.1/MIDP2.0) which has standard forms and also SVG components for rendering tiny-SVG images.
When I run my midlet on a S40 5th edition emulator, it works fine, same as in S60 emulators; but when I deploy it to the real S40 5th ed. device it throws exceptions and the application won't run because the devices are missing the jsr-226 (svg.jar).

Is there any software update for the phones? I've read somewher ethat only S60 3rd ed. FP2 and newers support this.
I'll truly appreciate if someone can give me some advice on this or provide some alternative packages for managing SVG files.

I've tried to add the svg.jar to my midlet, but of course, the device will not create the classes in the javax.microedition. namespace.

Which devices are you talking about exactly?
Note that there is a group of low-end 5th Edition devices which do not have that API

Nokia 2630 for instance, when I run the aplication on the actual handset, it throws an exception NoClassDefinitionFound SVGEventListener which in the emulator is contained in svg.jar

Yep, that device is a low-end device with limited resources and hence the number of Java API is also limited. SVG API is not supported.
