Hi,

I developed a game for MIDP 1.0 phones. And tested it on nokia 7650 and it works fine. But when i try to install it in 6600 (MIDP 2.0) it does not install it, it says "Authorization Failed".
Can anyone guess what the problem is ?
(I'm using nokia FullCanvas class)

If it works on MIDP 1 , it should work on MIDP 2 right ?

One more thing ... it worked on SonyEricsson W810 (MIDP 2.0)

Check if you have date and time configured properly on your Nokia 6600. Is your application signed?

I don't understand why i should configure the date and time properly (can u pls explain that). Since i have to test applications very frequently i always select the default date and time (it's 1/1/2004 or something). Should i set it to current date and time ?

No it's not signed.I have developed couple of applications before (which were not signed) on 6600 and it worked perfectly. This is the first time i'm coming across this error.

I usually develop only for MIDP 2.0 but this is the first time i'm developing for MIDP 1.0. So i think the problem is something to do with MIDP 1 & MIDP 2 methods. But i can't figure out what it is.

Ziyaaf..may be your device's software installation is set for Signed Only applications. open App. manager -> Options -> Settings -> Software Installation and set the ALL

When building the archive, if i select the "compress the contents" options it works.
???? any idea what's going on ?

Hmmmm.. vaguely remember someone mentioning having problems with uncompressed JAR files in the past. I do not think the problem was ever identified in details.
