Hi all
I have written an applictaion for nokia sets in Netbeans 6.0.
Now i want to run that application on LG phones. Is it possible to run that application on LG phoes or else what i have to do to write an application for LG phones. Please give me the suggestions.

Hi Deepa,

to use your midlet on a LG phone, you should check that the APIs you've used are supported on the target device. For all Nokia devices specifications you can take a look here:

For LG phones (I've originally understood the opposite of your question :)) you should check LG website for device specifications.

Usually, this is the main point when porting a midlet on another phone. Then you should test and fix eventual bugs (and find workarounds for known issues :))

The thing we need to match for runnign our applications across different phone vendors is MIDP and CLDC support. i mean when you have build the application for Nokia phones, what MIDP and CLDC you have selected. the best way is that select the target as lowest e.g. CLDC 1.0 and MIDP 2.0

btw,
as with all the different models in the big Nokia family itself u will most probably encounter errors regariding Image sizes, this is obviously due to the great variety in screen sizes especially on the various manufacturers models...
this isnt a really functional problem but most probably the applicatin will look a lot different (when using images and stuff) on the different brands/models..
