Hello everyone
well im a new member of this forum. Im discovering the pyS60 development. Im interested in using the N95 accelerometer to detect and recognize a hand gesture but i dont have any clue to begin with. i dont see how the x,y,z values of the sensor will help to do this.

Hi and welcome to the Fantastic Pys60 Dibo : !

For using accelerometer on N95 with Pys60 use the Axyz module!

There is also a sample program that you will be able to see in the Python folder when you install Axyz !

Well i've already test it.But i still dont understand how only the coordinates of the sensor will help to detect hand gestures.

as your hands gestures are changing according to that the coordinates of the sensor will also change that may be helpful to you.
hope this helps you more over can you explain your problem a bit more clearly.

I see, i just have to trace the coordinate then modeling the hand gesture
it's a bit more clear.It will be easier if i had an example,im not that good in mathematical problems actually

Well what im trying to do is for instance shaking the phone from the left to the right and do an action when the sensor detect this movement.If you had an example on python for that kind of application it will be very useful
