Can you tell me whether the D-Link USB Bluetooth Adaptor (DBT-120) is compatible with the Nokia 7650 and PC Suite?

Hi

Most USB BT adaptors are compatible with the NK 7650. However, for the adaptor to work with PC Suite, the adaptor has to be based on the Digianswer system. Im not sure whether the D-Link does work with Pc Suite so it may be worth asking D_links tech support to see what they say. If you get an answer could you post there response here.

The Bluetooth adapter does NOT have to be Digianswer based in order to use the PC Suite for Nokia 7650.

Basic requirements for a Bluetooth unit are: compliancy with v1.1 and Serial Port Profile supported.

I visited the Link you posted and noted the following: I quote "To be able to connect your Nokia 7650 to your PC the Bluetooth software needs to support Serial Port Profile (SPP). "

Now I have used both Bluemanager V2.0 and the Widdicom Stack and software on my PC, Win 98SE and PC Suite. I still cannot get PC Suite to work even though I can do basic file transfer functions using the OEM, not PC Suite, software. What do i need to do to get it to work. My BT USB does support SPP.

Ok... it does work... its a little wonky tho... but it does work... make sure that there is no encyrption on it etc etc... pair the devices etc etc... make sure its on Com 3 and 4.

Make sure mRouter looks for them in Com3 and 4
