I am sending SMSs in text mode using the AT command +CMGS to my 6310i. The SMS is being sent OK but I do not receive back the message reference or the subsequent message deliver notice. Is there some setup command that needs to be sent 1st to enable these functions to work?

Please see the AT+CNMI documentation for details. I ca't remember what is the default setting for delivery notes.
