Hello,

I would like to know how Nokia access to the DVB-H tuner? How do you tune the device? I mean, I have checked and there is no way to do that in Java, no way to do that in Symbian (before v9.4). Is Nokia using special manufature API?

Is there any way to get this API?
Which Chipset does Nokia implement in their Mobiles?

Best Regards
isabel

The DVB-H APIs/interfaces have not been published. You can try the API partnering process to get access:

Nokia phones use different chipsets/processors (probably some off-the-shelf chips and some custom chips). The details are not published. What is, you can see in the device specs:

Also note that you must use technical support first, so your use case can be evaluated and any API for it could be found, and technical aspects of the API could also be investigated.

Currently API partnering does not contain technical support (that is the reason why the price was lowered), thus if you open a API partnering request without proper technical evaluation, there is a high chance that it will be cancelled without delivery.

Of course this is the situation at this point, so if somebody reads this year from now, please do check what the API partnering web page says on the topic then.

To be noted also that the API Partenring is available for the S60 Platform only and that requests for device specific features are likely to be rejected.
