Hi All,
I wanted to know under which section of EXIF header does SetGpsAreaInformation(HBufC8 *aGpsAreaInformation) API writes the location information. also what exactly does aGpsAreaInformation should contain and of what size. Can anybody please help me on this issue. Thanks, Abhi |

Docs do say that "Note: According to the Exif 2.2 specification, the first 8 bytes of aGpsAreaInformation must contain a Character Code to indicate the type of encoding used. See table 6 of the Exif 2.2 specification for a list of codes."
But please note that S60 SDK says: "This item is not part of the S60 3rd Edition SDK for Symbian OS, Supporting Feature Pack 1, for C++." for this API. All and all, I made an example on adding GPS tags, and it can be found from the Wiki: http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...ng_Example.zip |

Thansk for the reply. I'm using UIQ fro development. But irrespective of that, Exif spec doesnt mention the max length of data aGpsAreaInformation that can be stored.
Can you pls let me know. I wanted to store the whole location info including city, loc name. pin number etc. |

I'm not really customed to UIQ specific issues, so can not really be on help.
