Hi!

I read Z: drive is ROM. I know E: is memory card, and C: is phone memory. Is there any official list about those drive letters?

This seems outdated, it doesn't mention separated "Mass memory" and "Memory card" or FP2's "Remote drives" which are mentioned in the blog entry (see bogdan.galiceanu's post).

Perhaps e32.drive_list() could return also the type of the drive?

Just to hilight the key point:

One should simply stop assuming and start querying. How many drives does the device have? What type of drives are they? Can I use them? The answer to all this question is dynamic and so should be the code that handles it. Remove all the hardcoded paths, all predefined drive enumerations.

There is no list any more, drives are/can be dynamically anything.

ya jouni is correct manytimes if we hardcode the driveletter we can face lots and lots of problems.
