hay friends,

I am uasing nokia 6600. I have downloaded BTSWITCH.PYD for 2nd edition mobiles. But when i used it i found one BUG...

After using

btswitch.on()

the coneection module of mobile is showing Bluetooth ON but when i search from PC it is showing NO BLUETOOTH device present.

vice versa after using
btswitch.off()
connection manager will indicate BLUETOOTH OF MOBILE OFF
but still i am able to send files to mobile .
though it is indicating Bluetooth OFF.

is this a fake indication???
have you tested it?

i have used that extension onece in 7610 but i never faced that kind of problem have you use that earlier or you are using that for first time.

May be some kind of settings problem in your mobile.

i am not talking about any specific settings i just guessed that there can be the problem in some other things in the phone.
Anyways i am checking that extension again and will reply you soon.

ya ..
make bluetooth on from connection manager (manually)
now make it off using BTSWITCH
now search mobile from PC bluetooth dongle
send file and see whether it is off or on!!!

i was just going to reply actually my 7610 is facing another problem so i actually cant test. can anybody else with the 2nd edition can verify this please.

i am running btswitch.on()/btswitch.off() commands from hyperterminal;
after giving command btswitch.off it is giving btswitch.getmode()==0
but still my hyperterminal session is working....

i think this confirms that btswitch and BTonoff modules are just giving FALSE INDICATION...

making bluetooth off using btswitch ,prevents mobile from sending data on bluetooth but it can receive data from pc or another mobile.

so if i want to shut down the bluetooth service completely what can i do??

i checked the thing and yes you are correct its a bug the bluetooth is not completely off the sign only goes off and its ready for a connection.

from where we can get?
do we get Readable btswitch.pyd or BTonoff.py?
thus we can think on the problem.

mobile contains above files but these are encrypted(non-readable by human).
can anyone help ?
