Ok i have tried everything and have been searching for a while before posting this (If there is a guide or answer for this please post the link for it).

I have simple .avi video files on my computer that i want to tranfser onto my E71 to watch.

I have tried many ways:

1. I tried the Nokia PC Suite "Drag and Drop content here" and have chosen the option of conversion for it to be compatible format to play (MP4 i belive it chooses) Once the transfer is complete, i try playing it on Realplayer on the E71 and something about only able to play partialy, so it just plays the audio but no video.

2. I have tried converting through Nokia Video Manager, I choose an .avi and click "Convert into mobile format and copy to my video collection" and once its converted i transfer to the E71 and it is still unable to view, just audio. Where can i choose more advanced settings for the conversion, do i have to set up the resolution and formats? I dont see where these settings are or is everything auto?

The problem is that you don't know how to canvert a PC movie to mobile movie.

Best settings (my opinion):

Get a 3GP (3GPP) Convertor

Video Rezolution: 320 x 240 (full Screen)

Video Codec: MPEG-4 (or h.264)

Audio Codec: AAC (or AMR)

144 Kb/s

15 FPS (or 23 if you have good phone and player)

Audio 2 Channels (160 KB/s or above)

Audio Frequency: 32000 (or above up to 44100)


Best convertor (that I use) is Super C (free, but VERY good)

Good Luck

PS: Best Video Player for E71 (and other SmartPhones) is CoreCodec Player (Was able to play a VGA size AVI, a little slowly)

having the same issue. Have downlaoded the suggested application. It is NOT free. Places a banner in the middle of the screen
