Dear,
may be its an old Q, but i have problem in Record Control test on Emulator
iam using netbeans with WTK and i make an example record video application.
iam able to see the camera "as they make predefine video to simulate the camera opening". but trying to get the RecordControl it return null..and i didn't success to try it on the WTK and iam currently doesn't have my nokia device to test it..
any solution.

What version of Netbeans and WTK are you using?
Can you post some relevant code snippet where you start the recording.

iam using netbeans 6.1 and WTk 2.5.2

snap of the code that open the camera and get the RecordControl :

player = Manager.createPlayer("capture://video");
player.realize();
videoControl = (VideoControl)player.getControl("VideoControl");
recordControl=(RecordControl)player.getControl("RecordControl");

and then i display the camera on canvas.and start capture the video by

recordControl.setRecordStream(baos);///where baos is my output stream
recordControl.startRecord();

the problem is getting the recordControl return null on the WTK emulator
