Sorry I am a newbie but I want to write help for my application. It must look like the operating system help. So I don't want to write a quick popup or display a text file or write text to a canvas. Can anyone tell me what I need to do please.

hi Vincent

you can take the help of topwindow to write your help but it depends on what is your application. You can have a look at the help written by jouni in one his game using topwindow module i dont remember the application correctly but you can try here.

Hi,

It depends on the type of help you want to display.
If the help consists of simple small instructions - use globalui, appuifw, etc.

Large amount of text to display or to open a text file use content handler.
I prefer the later option

I think you should use appuifw2 module.
It has many features to handle text on application body.

Thanks all for the suggestions but I really want my help to look like the traditional symbian help files. How do the Symbian C++ developers create their help? - it has help topics and search keywords etc. So I prefer not to use Topwindow and the Text object or displaying a text file as help.
