Hi,

I was trying to install Python on Nokia n78 phone without success. First I don't see exact release for this phone on:

It has to be for S60 3rdEd FP2 ,but such doesn't exist so I downloaded the nearest one PythonForS60_1_4_4_3rdEd.sis. Hope it is generic enough.

Then the installation goes well and something is actually installed in the sys folder. Only now an application icon is missing and if I try to download a .py file there is no option to run it. File manager can't go the sys folder to run the actual python executable.

Can someone help me with instructions how to run a Python program and some prompt maybe?

Hi,

You also need to download and install the script shell (PythonScriptShell_1_4_4_3rdEd.SIS) to get the icon in the menu and be able to run scripts. If you're new to Python for S60 check also PyS60 FAQ.
