I wonder if it is possible to emulate digital TV on your phone with the sdk.
I want to develop an application for interactive digital TV on your phone and need an emulator / simulator to test.

Currently nokia is supporting this kind of product like N96 but i think it is using the service of service provider. Not working by it self like china phone.

this means u will simulate an RTP/RTSP connection between mobile client and server right ? i ever made same project but not really TV and not use RTP/RTSP (only socket and datagram to modelled that). U can use existing server like darwin streaming server, helix streaming server or make ur own server (but thats vvery hard), and use helix mobile converter or FFMPEG to capture from ur TV turner.
u should developt ur own mobile client to interact to that server by RTP/RTSP protocol. since J2ME not support RTSP protocol yet,,u should make ur own code to send/receive via RTSP protocol and parse the payload at RTP packet to read the video data
