how to install python in my emulator.
can i use emulator with oher mob. app.

This article provides instructions for that.

Here is what you have to do:
Download the appropriate Python for S60 SDK from here (something like PythonForS60_1_4_5_SDK_3rdEdFP1.zip) depending on the emulator you have. Extract that archive and copy the files and folders from it to the emulator's installation folder. Remember that you should not replace any existing folders. After that, you should see Python among the emulator's applications.

As for using the emulator with other applications, it is possible, but there are also some issues. Like this one:

i cant install it .
i get eroor file formate not supoorted at end.
i have emulator of third edition.

If you have the 3rd Edition (no feature pack) emulator then you should use PythonForS60_1_4_5_SDK_3rdEd.zip. Is that the one you downloaded?

no i have PythonScriptShell_1_4_0_2ndEdFP3.sis file.

Then that's the problem. Please download the appropriate SDK depending on the emulator you're using (PythonForS60_1_4_5_SDK_3rdEd.zip for simple 3rd Edition emulator, for example). Now you will probably have to uninstall the emulator, delete its folder and reinstall it, and then use the correct Python SDK. It should work then

i have install emulator of 2nd ed.(debug)
it cant open any file.
now tell me what i do?

I just tested this and it worked. Here's what I did:

• Downloaded 2nd Edition, WINS (101 MB) from here.
• Installed it to C:\Symbian\7.0s by extracting the archive and running Setup.exe
• Downloaded PythonForS60_1_4_5_SDK_2ndEd.zip from here.
• Extracted the archive and got 2 files: sdk_files.zip and uninstall_PythonForS60_SDK_2ndEd.cmd. I extracted sdk_files.zip.
• I copied all the files from all the folders from the extracted sdk_files.zip to the corresponding folders in C:\Symbian\7.0s\Series60_v20\Epoc32. No folders are replaced.
• I ran the emulator (Debug) and saw the Python icon in its menu and was able to launch it

I think you can not install the sis file in to emulator. .sis can be install in to device only...

hello pankaj..

i already try it..

there is no any of the .sis file install in my emulator.

i ask it bcoz i like to make sis file using .sisboom soft.
